Process Management Research receives ISO 9001: 2008 certification ICONTEC

Thanks to the arduous effort that has been developing the process of Research Management, the Popular University of Cesar, on March 23 in the auditorium Jaime Molina Maestre of Fine Arts, the institution will receive by the ICONTEC, the certificate of Quality NTC ISO 9001: 2008.
Starting at 2:30 p.m., the regional director of the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards, ICONTEC, Simon Bolivar Meneses, will deliver this distinction that certifies our Quality Management System, Research process.
Julio Cesar Vega Suárez; Vice-Rector of Research of the UPC indicated that "this represents to us as an institution a strengthening in the administrative processes, in this case in the processes of Management of the Investigation".
He also said that "all certification process, what seeks as an end is customer satisfaction, they are the students, teachers, researchers and all those people who in one way or another are advancing research activities within our research groups and Seedlings ".
It is worth remembering that last December 2016, the audit carried out by ICONTEC, to the research process of the Popular University of Cesar recommended to certify this institution within the ISO 9001: 2008 standard.
In this audit the processes of: Research Management, Systems, Public and International Relations, Legal, Human Resources, Strategic Management, Human Talent and Management of Improvement participated.
This standard is elaborated by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and it determines the requirements for a Quality Management System, which can be used for internal application by the organizations, regardless of whether the product or service provides it Public organization or company.
